Sound Agents Update

An interesting time in Liverpool since The Agents produced the research newspaper 'Some Basic Facts about Chinatown' An L1 Oral History of Everyday People for Chinese New Year.

The BBC Coast programme is using the research to develop a Coast programme in Liverpool. (No fee)

Sky Atlantic TV are currently producing a new series and made contact for research, help and advice for the programme set in Chinatown one of Britains most iconic urban landscapes. (No fee)

Moira has interviewed Xia Lu (China) and Nahida (Palestine) and plans to create a short film about four strong women coming together in Liverpool who at the age of seven had very different experiences.

The Sound Agents promote public understanding and access to communities by recording the personal and everyday experience of Liverpool life.

The purpose of the organisation is to work inclusively with people from under-represented communities to provide opportunities to share stories using the Arts as a tool for communication.

Working outside the structure to bring together older people to pass their skills on to the younger generation by working creatively to share talents, experience and enthusiasm to bring people together to improve health and well-being and create opportunities for young people to get involved in Socially Engaged practice.
