LIVERPOOL CHINATOWN ORAL HISTORY: RICHARD YONG

Liverpool Chinatown Oral History is an archive of interviews and conversations between Moira Kenny, John J. Campbell and people who lived or worked in Chinatown Liverpool pre and post WWII.

The aim of PROJECT CHINATOWN is to develop an online and site specific space for people to gain access to the audio/visual material.

This audio recording between Richard Yong and Moira Kenny is a telephone conversation from 2013 published in 2024.

The Sound Agents promote public understanding and access to communities by recording the personal and everyday experience of Liverpool life.

The purpose of the organisation is to work inclusively with people from under-represented communities to provide opportunities to share stories using the Arts as a tool for communication.

Working outside the structure to bring together older people to pass their skills on to the younger generation by working creatively to share talents, experience and enthusiasm to bring people together to improve health and well-being and create opportunities for young people to get involved in Socially Engaged practice.
