THEN ALONG CAME LENNON

A first hand account of Liverpool Art School Bands

The Sound Agents have been supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund to make a documentary film to uncover and preserve the hidden histories of pop musicians attending Art School in Liverpool from 1955 to the 1980 to document the significant impact the Arts had on Youth/Pop Culture.

The film will premiere at the Museum of Liverpool in June 2020 and at the British Music Experience with a Q & A. All footage and a copy of the DVD will be stored in Liverpool Record Office and film footage and memorabilia will be stored in LJMU Contemporary Archives.

The Sound Agents promote public understanding and access to communities by recording the personal and everyday experience of Liverpool life.

The purpose of the organisation is to work inclusively with people from under-represented communities to provide opportunities to share stories using the Arts as a tool for communication.

Working outside the structure to bring together older people to pass their skills on to the younger generation by working creatively to share talents, experience and enthusiasm to bring people together to improve health and well-being and create opportunities for young people to get involved in Socially Engaged practice.
